Blurb:
John Dorsey’s life is good.  He is the owner of Dorsey Construction.  He’s the youngest person on the board of directors for Advantage Insurance Company.  He lives on the beach.  And he knows he can have any woman he wants.  John’s got the world at his fingertips… except he’s yet to find a woman that stimulates both his body and mind.

Elizabeth Wright worked hard in a large Tampa law firm making a name for herself, but it came at the expense of her personal life. When Advantage Insurance Company offers her a job as corporate counsel, Elizabeth cannot turn it down.  The thought that she can have a successful legal career and a life excites and intimidates her.

But when their worlds collide one day in the Advantage board room, neither Elizabeth nor John knows what’s hit them.  All they know is they can’t stay away from each other.

Excerpt:

“Are you seeing anyone?  Sleeping with anyone?” he asked further.
“What?” she said, standing up from her chair.  Her face was incapable of hiding her shock at his questions.  Her green eyes were wide.  Her lips parted.  “What sort of questions are these?”  John’s stride made short use of the distance between them.  He stood directly in front of her, cornering her behind her desk.  He looked down into her green eyes.  They were gorgeous… she was gorgeous.  And he had every intention of claiming her.
“Answer my questions, Elizabeth.  Are you seeing anyone?”  He watched as her eyes widened even further with shock at his determination to get answers to his questions.  Nervousness flittered across her face, but her breath came out in short pants as if his close proximity affected her.  He watched as her chest rose and fell with each breath.  God, he wanted to feel her body against his.  He just knew she would feel perfect against him… in his arms.
“Your questions are inappropriate,” she replied sharply.  Despite her body giving her attraction away, she held firm.  He liked that.  He liked a woman that wasn’t too easy of a catch.
“I agree,” he said, impatiently.  “They are inappropriate.  I need the answers nonetheless.”
“Why?” she asked.  Her gaze scanned his face as if looking for the answer to her question.
“Answer me,” he demanded.  His hand reached out and caressed her cheek as if to soothe the harshness of his words.
“You are way out of line, Mr. Dorsey,” Elizabeth said.
“Yes, I know,” he said a little softer this time.  His fingers tucked a few strands of her hair behind her ear.  His gaze dropped to her bared neck.  He had to fight the urge to nuzzle the spot just below her ear.  “But I need to know if there are any obstacles to making you mine.  Are you seeing anyone?”
“No,” she whispered.  “I’m not seeing anyone.”  Her lips parted for a moment before she bit down on her lower lip.  That was almost his undoing.
“Are you fucking anyone?” he asked.  She released her bottom lip and sucked in a breath when he asked that question.  Her gaze fell from his eyes to his lips and then to her hands.  He placed his fingers under her chin and tilted her head up to meet his gaze again.  He wanted to see her eyes when she answered him.  There was heat in her gaze, and that thrilled him.
“No, Mr. Dorsey, I’m not fucking anyone at the moment,” she said.  Her voice was hard, but he heard the desire in it and that snapped his restraint.  His hand weaved into her hair until his palm gripped the back of her head, pulling her into him.  His mouth slammed down on hers.  Her full lips were soft and pliable, and his tongue flicked out over her lips to taste her.  She tasted so sweet…like candy.

Accessible Fantasy @mystiparker @melangebooks

Today I have Mysti Parker visiting, so over to you Mysti.

Accessible Fantasy

I write fantasy romance. Like all cross-genre authors, I hope to appeal to fans of both genres. From reviews received, I think I’ve been largely successful in that, though most favorable comments come from the romance side. Many readers express an initial skepticism, saying they haven’t read a great deal of fantasy, but they found the Tallenmere series really enjoyable, that it proved to be “accessible”.

What did they mean by accessible? Certainly not wheelchair ramps into the public buildings of Leogard (though someone should really bring that matter to King Leopold’s attention). Accessible in terms of this series means the reading experience itself. The fantasy elements aren’t heavy. You don’t have to rely on a glossary in the back of the book to remember the names of people and places. You won’t have to wade through pages of backstory or explanation. As one reader put it, this series doesn’t “detail you to death”.

Unlike some of the more epic fantasy, there are enough real-world references to keep you grounded so you won’t have to wrap your brain around entirely new settings while you keep up with the story. Yet, the fantasy is there. It’s in Caliphany’s bad-ass fire magic (made even badder when she combines it with a well-aimed arrow). It’s in Serenya’s transformation into something deadly, yet beautiful. It’s in Loralee’s healing Spark and Sir Robert’s many paladin talents. It’s in the gods and goddesses, the necromancers and vampires, and the dragons on their hidden island.

Cross-genre books aren’t a new phenomena, but authors are experimenting with them more than ever before. Romance in particular is being reborn into a myriad of unique combinations. Whether you’re more a fan of romance or fantasy, give the Tallenmere series a try and let me know what you think. Did the fantasy or romance appeal to you more?

Q&A: What genre combinations are your favorites? What combinations would you like to see more of in the future?

Bio:
Mysti Parker (pseudonym) is a full time wife, mother of three, and a writer. Her first novel, A Ranger's Tale was published in January, 2011 by Melange Books, and the second in the fantasy romance series, Serenya's Song, was published in April 2012. The highly anticipated third book, Hearts in Exile, has already received some great reviews. The Tallenmere series has been likened to Terry Goodkind's 'Sword of Truth' series, but is probably closer to a spicy cross between Tolkien and Mercedes Lackey.

Mysti's other writings have appeared in the anthologies Hearts of Tomorrow, Christmas Lites, and Christmas Lites II. Her flash fiction has appeared on the online magazine EveryDayFiction. She has also served as a class mentor in Writers Village University's six week free course, F2K.

Mysti reviews books for SQ Magazine, an online specfic publication, and is the proud owner of Unwritten, a blog voted #3 for eCollegeFinder's Top Writing Blogs award. She resides in Buckner, KY with her husband and three children.

Happy Birthday To Page Turner Book Tours! #happybirthday #1yearanniversary

PTBT opened their doors a year ago and has grown from strength to strength working with some amazing authors along the way. This year the official .com site was opened, a dedicated team of graphics designers joined the team and PTBT became the official host for all tours under 5 Prince Publishing.

The story doesn’t stop there…

There are already plans for further improvements and many more tours to be held in the future along with further charity work.

We hope that you will check them out at this link: http://pageturnerbooktours.com

During July PTBT are offering the following discounts:

1 week tour - 1 additional day

2 week tour - $63.75 - 2 additional days

3 week tour - $85 - 3 additional days

4 week tour - $170 - 4 additional days

These discounts are good for a year AS LONG AS the tour is booked and paid for in July 2013.

Working for Page Turner Book Tours has been amazing. I have met some amazing people, worked with some fantastic books and been privileged to be part of some amazing journeys. I know there will be great things to come for PTBT and I am excited to meet every request, author and to discover the wonderful books that I work with. Thank you to everyone on the past year who has worked with PTBT you are all amazing and I am so have been part of your journey. Here’s to the next fantastic year!” ~ Kate, Owner/Tour Coordinator PTBT

I have been blessed to have had a long professional relationship with Kate and Page Turner Book Tours. Her organization of the tours and cover launches has always exceeded our expectations. She is thorough and knows what she’s doing. I believed enough in the company that Page Turner Book Tours is the official coordinator for 5 Prince Publishing. Kate sets up tours for our cover/book launches, for each of our authors, as well as book tours. Her prices are very fair and that helps individuals and small businesses. I give Kate and Page Turner Book Tours 5 STARS, for their consistently good service, well managed tours, and comfort level when working with them. If you are looking to promote yourself or your book I highly recommend Page Turner Book Tours.” - Bernadette Soehner, CEO, 5 Prince Publishing, Lost And Found Tour Details

I enjoyed working with Page Turner Book Tours in 2012 for my second Lash Series Book, Shadow Man. Kate was able to arrange far more stops than I’d initially hoped for, and also garnered my book several five star reviews! The spreadsheet she gave me to work from had all the relevant contact information to write tailored engaging posts for each site, and she fulfilled every part of the agreement to create and deliver signature prizes for the tour. She tried her very best to make my tour the best it could be. The best recommendation is that I will be using her services again this summer to promote another coauthored work!

Service: At least half of service is value for the money spent. Kate gives great packages and I feel I got a very good value for the money I spent with her. She was knowledgeable and answered my questions in a timely fashion. I especially appreciated the reviews as part of the package, of which almost all were favorable.

Communication: the other half of service for this type of promotion is communication, and Kate was very good in that aspect as well. For my tour, I had a total of 5 interviews to complete, along with 12 guest posts. She got me info for topics and interview questions as soon as she had them, which helped me stay ahead and on time with my side of the tour.

Overall tour running: 5 starsTara Fox Hall, Author, Lash Tour Details

I have had the pleasure of working with Page Turner Book Tours for just a few short months. When I first contacted Kate and told her what I was looking for, she helped walk me through everything that they could do, what it would entail on my part as well as what was to be expected from her and Page Turner Book Tours.

Every time I have any questions Kate is sure to replay quickly. I have not encountered many problems while working with Page Turner Book Tours other than a few Bloggers did not follow through on their end. Which, I by no means, hold against Page Turner Book Tours.

Kate does a wonderful job communicating what is needed by all her bloggers, if you are interested then you just let her know and she does the rest. All you have to do as a blogger is set it up to go on your scheduled date.

Overall I think Kate and Page Turner Book Tours do a wonderful job with their Press Releases, Interviews, Book reviews and scheduling who needs to be where and what time.  I would give Page Turner Book Tours 5 out of 5 stars!” ~ Marie, 5 Prince Publishing

Kate is a marvelous coordinator and I can’t wait to work with her in the future on a book tour.  If you are looking for a company to schedule a tour, than I recommend working with Kate at Page Turner Book Tours. She will customize a tour specifically for you and work with book bloggers making your tour run as easy as possible leaving you with a sense of satisfaction and a great tour experience!

Page Turner Book tours is definitely a five star company!” M.M. Shelley, Murder On Mars Tour Details

What's in your bag? @IyanaJenna @EvernightPub #newrelease

Today I have the fabulous Iyana Jenna. So over to you...

I’m so happy to visit Michaela Rhua’s blog. Thank you, dear.

Now everyone nowadays always have with them gadgets such as iPad, Kindle, iPhone, smartphones. You can’t leave home without them. My question right now is: what five non-electronic stuffs you always have in your bag? Here are my five stuffs:
1.      My meds. Yeah. Perhaps I’m a bit of a junkie. But really, they are my meds for my high blood pressure, my knee pain, vitamins, and of course the painkillers for my migraine. I can never leave them behind.
2.      Umbrella. With unpredictable weather conditions like right now in my country, no one knows when you will need the umbrella.
3.      Liquid soap. For, umm, private use. LOL.
4.      Folder with my teaching notes and stuff. I will panic if I forget to bring it with me. I can’t teach without everything I have prepared beforehand.
5.      Last but not least, a box of USB flash disks. I don’t bring my netbook with me so I need them for any documents, pictures, anything I need.

So, how about you? :)

Blurb:

Taking a break from dealing with his father’s clients on legal matters, Nicholas Haynes went out to the sea on his yacht—only to find a man floating in the water. The man was still alive, much to Nicholas’s relief.

Gregory Phillips was a private investigator and his last job almost turned him into fish food if not for Nicholas. Little did he know that the main suspect in his case was one of Nicholas’ father’s clients. When Nicholas insisted on taking care of Gregory after the incident that almost killed him, can he trust Nicholas enough with his life?

Excerpts:

Stanley Haynes threw the newspaper, and it landed with a slap on Nicholas's plate. The headlines blared at Nicholas as though his father had shouted at him.
Heir to US Banking Chain Wedded?
"You ever plan to tell us about this, Nicholas?"
Nicholas glanced briefly at his mother sitting across from him, but she kept stirring the cooling coffee in her cup. Nicholas could see a smile flicker in her eyes. He shrugged.
“Come on, Dad. You know it was impossible for me to talk about it before everything was done.”
“Are you saying you don’t trust me, or your mom—” Stanley threw a glance at his wife, and his eyes widened. “You knew about this?”
She threw her hands up.
“God, no, honey. I wouldn’t lie to you.”
“All right, all right.” Stanley took a deep breath, trying to calm himself. “Is it that Phillips guy?”
“Of course. Who else?” Nicholas grinned.
His mother went back to stirring her coffee. Her voice was calm when she asked, “When was it, Nicholas? How come both of us didn’t know anything about it?”
“A moment after Greg was released from the hospital.”
“Wow. That fast?”
Nicholas chuckled. “Yeah. Now you can’t accuse me of being a playboy anymore.”
“That’s good, dear.” His mother took his hand, and Nicholas squeezed hers gently. “So those journalists—they just found out the other day?”
“They’ve just seen this ring, that’s all.” Nicholas lifted his left hand and eyed the simple platinum band around his ring finger.  Gregory had exactly the same kind of ring around his finger.
****
A month earlier
It was the lulling sounds of the waves and the gentle breeze above the vast, boundless ocean that Nicholas loved most. He could spend days, even weeks, drifting seemingly without any course and purpose on his boat, all by himself. After months dealing with his father’s clients about legal matters, he was always desperate for some time alone. Sometimes he just couldn’t understand why he had to work twice as hard as the other employees in his father’s bank when he was his only son. However, most of the time, he just couldn’t see it any other way. His father was not the type to want to spoil his family. Everyone had to earn what life had given to them. Nobody was allowed to simply ask and receive.
Today, though, he ended up not alone.

When the Fur Flies - Breathless Press Blog Share @AshleyKelliea @breathlesspress

Hello Michaela, I first want to thank you for having me guest on your blog to celebrate Breathless Press's Birthday! I am a relatively new author. Breathless Press gave me an opening to share my love for writing, romance, and storytelling. In a short time the editors and authors there have become like a second family to me. I love how supportive they are of their authors. So, I wish BP a great birthday with chocolate cake, yummy ice cream, and loads of toppings!

Now, a little about me and my publications!

I am from upstate New York, surrounded by rivers, forests, and small towns. I live in the lovely city of Ogdensburg on the St. Lawrence river. I've been happily married to my husband, Josh for a year this month. I guess we are still newlyweds, though I feel like I've loved him forever! We have two furbabies, a cat named Copperkins and a mutt named Sampson. They are the sweetest. Though Copperkins has a habit of sitting on my lap while I'm writing(yes she's here right now). She also likes to play on my computer while I sleep, which is why I end up deleting pages and pages in the mornings. One of these days I expect she'll learn to write herself!

I currently have one e-book out titles, Winter Gifts. I've had some very good reviews on it, thank you readers. Sending bug hugs to you!

On July 12th my first book in my Sisters of Fate series titled When the Fur Flies. It is currently on preorder on the Breathless Press website. Below is a sneak peak at it and I hope everyone likes it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

In a world where immortals are bound by the Tri-Species Treaty, there is little hope for a happy ending between a Wolven and a Witch, unless the Sisters of Fate take a stand.
More than a little fur flies when an Alpha Wolven mistakenly mates a Witch, whose cat form is running low on lives. Allison Carver is a Witch on a mission to save humanity from the two species of immortals who prey upon them. She finds herself in trouble when she steals the Vampire Elder's intended bride and the blame for the abduction lands right at Alpha Reginald Leclair's feet. She finds herself shaking in her black fur with more than her tail at stake when Reginald's Wolf chooses her as a mate. The idea of interspecies mating wasn't so much ignored by the writers, but seemed unfathomable. After all, when cats and dogs play, more can fly than fur…
Sneak peak of When the Fur Flies…
"Where are we going? Reginald?" He didn't as much as look back at her. Her legs hurt as he didn't even slow his steps to accommodate her shorter stride. When they were far from the sounds of the pack readying themselves for the hunt, he stopped to turn toward her. Allison bit her lip nervously as he continued to stare at her. His thoughts were weirdly guarded from her, but she could feel the waves of anger and frustration coming off his body.
"I won't apologize for what I did." She knew it was the wrong thing to say the instant his eyes dilated and he moved. The hard bark of the tree bit into her back and shoulders as he shoved her up against it with a violence that was barely controlled.
"Do you even know what you did, Allison?" The way his white teeth flashed and his voice growled at her should have scared her, but it was the use of her name that terrified her. A shiver ran up her spine as she looked up into the face of rage. "I could change right now. My Wolf wants out. He wants to dominate you so hard you won't ever question me again."
She flinched as his fist hit the tree beside her head. Bark flew off the tree at the impact, telling her exactly how much anger he was holding back. It should have made her want to run as far from his animal as she could get, but instead her body was humming and hot, leaning toward his hardness like it was drawn to him. And it was because the mating heat was returning in full force, stronger than before in the urge to be one with her mate. She needed him, but not like this. Not with his anger standing between them.
"Change, then." She stared up at him defiantly. "Let him have me, because this is who I am, Reginald. I'm strong headed and willful. I won't be a weak little bitch who follows your every word. I make my own choices for my life."
"You are my mate! I can't lose you."
"You don't own me!" she screamed back at him. She clenched her teeth, fighting the need to release the build-up of energy within her. Thunder cracked across the dark sky above them.
"That's where you're wrong, Allison. You are mine!" His mouth came down on hers with a bruising force. He sank his fingers into her hair, holding her head immovable as he ravaged her mouth.
She was burning alive and loving every minute of it. Allison made short work of the buttons on the white shirt he'd pulled on after his fight. One hard pull and they popped off in all directions to land in the scattered clumps of grass and dirt on the forest floor. His head snapped back as her nails dug into his biceps.
"That's right, Alpha. You're not the only one who likes to leave your mark on your property." She dropped her hands to the button on his pants, but he quickly captured her wrists, pulling them up next to her head on the tree.
"Like it rough, do you, mate? Well, you've got the right Wolf for the job." He grinned as he quickly turned her. Allison gasped as she was pushed up against the tree. "Who do you belong to? Who is responsible for you? Who will you obey from now on? Say it, Kitten." His words were at her ear, his breath warm against her neck as he moved her hair with his chin to lick over the mark he'd given her.

When the Fur Flies can be preordered now on Breathless Press's website. It will be released for sale on July 12th at Amazon.com, All Romance e-books, Bookstrand.com, and the Breathless Press website. Book two of the Sisters of Fate, Bitten By Magic, will be out later this year in August. On July 19th I also have a contemporary romance out titled, Anne's Legacy. If you like sweet romance with a hint of sexy, you'll want to check this out as well.
