New Year is the time to think about time past and the new year ahead of you.
So I thought I would take a look at what I have learnt last year and what I hope to take into the New Year.

2014...

It was a year of highs and lows to be honest.
Lows...
The death of a loved one hit hard, even though he was 90 years young and had lived a rich life, it's still hard to say goodbye.
My children facing issues and choosing to express them in ways I would not wish. As a parent it is hard to watch your children be hurt and upset without wading in to sort everything out. I learnt there are somethings you can't sort for them, it's things they have to do for themselves.
Not feeling inspired to write - this was a real LOW point. You see other writers showing you bits of their WIPs or covers etc and think hell why can't I do it. This was replaced by 'oh well it will happen when it happens.'
Highs...
Good times with friends. It takes me while to really get to know people and trust. Having said that I love my critique group - we blog as The Nuthouse Scribblers. They are an amazing bunch of women who hold each other up when life throws crap at you.
Even though my children had low times most of the year was great. Seeing them blossoming into young adults who love life is fab.
Getting two acceptances by Evernight Publishing. Even though the year and most of the previous had been dry as bones on the writing front. It happened in the last few months and a new series came to me - more of that below.

So what about 2015...
This year will be what it is... I haven't made any resolutions at all.
I want to write and have a few ideas up my sleeve, but we shall see what happens.
My children are growing so it's time to think ahead to the time they may not be around as much.
I want no regrets so I will love, laugh and enjoy all the moments that I can.
Life is there to be lived so I will be doing that.
